How to use the demo

The main page
On the main page, there are the buttons to press in order. Read below per button the step-by-steps. And then, click here to go to the demo page.

Coppermine

In this demo, you can create an album and add photos as a user. If you run your own Coppermine you have admin access and probably FTP access to your server. To add music, you need to have admin rights. So no music in the demo.

Step 1 Register
To be able to submit photos, you have to be a member. That's just how Coppermine works. We won't do anything with the data you fill in. It even doesn't have to be true.
Click the blue Register link and follow the instructions.

Step 2 Prepare your pics
The used SSP viewer shows the images at 550x400 pixels. To reduce serverload and webspace, resize your photos to not much more than that.

Step 3 Make an album
- Click the grey button [create / order my albums]
- Click [New] and change "New album" to whatever you want to name your album. If you want to make more albums, just repeat this step. When you're done, click [Apply] modifications.

Step 4 Upload your pictures
- Click the blue link Upload file and follow the - pretty clear - onscreen instructions.
Step 5 Look at your album
- Just check if all pics are there, and you are ready for the next button:

Create XML

Step 1 Click the button [Create xml]
That runs our script and it creates the images.xml file that is needed by SSP. It opens in a new window and is very boring: you get a message that the file was saved. If not, you'll probably get a lot of PHP jabber in your face. Close the window.

Refresh SSP

Click the [Refresh SSP] button to reload the page so the flash movie reads the new XML file. Click on the albums button of the SSP and your new album should be there now.

NOTE:
Some browsers are really bad in using cached files. If you don't see changes, empty the cache of the browser.
